Can I Customize an Engagement Ring?

Direct answer

Yes — an engagement ring is one of the most common custom pieces we make. You can start from a sketch, a photo, an AI image or just an idea, choose the center stone (natural or lab-grown), the setting and the metal, and approve the CAD before we make it. Because it is built to your design and your partner's finger size, a custom ring is how you get a piece that is genuinely theirs rather than whatever the case held.

How a custom engagement ring comes together

You bring the intent, we make it buildable. Most people arrive with a shape in mind — a solitaire, a halo, a three-stone, an antique style, or a picture of a ring they loved — and we read it into a CAD with real proportions, a setting that holds the stone securely, and a band sized and shaped for daily wear. That stage is where a vague 'sparkly but not too tall' becomes an actual profile you can see from the side and approve.

The stone and metal choices are yours, and we price them honestly. Center stones come natural or lab-grown — chemically the same diamond, differing in origin and price, so a lab-grown stone often buys more size or grade for the same budget — and we can set a stone you already own too. Metal is a real trade-off: 14k is harder for a ring worn every day, 18k richer in color and gentler on sensitive skin, and the CAD is where the build is planned around the stone you choose.

Because an engagement ring carries a date and an emotion, the process is built to remove surprises. You approve the CAD before anything is cast, so the design is confirmed rather than hoped for; a proposal timeline can be planned at the quote stage, which shapes stone sourcing and the build route; and sizing, engraving and any side stones are locked in that approval.

More questions on this

Can I use my own diamond in a custom engagement ring?+

Yes — a family stone or a stone you already own can be set into a new custom ring; we inspect it and confirm the setting route before production.

Should I choose natural or lab-grown diamonds for an engagement ring?+

Both are legitimate — the same material, different origin and price. If mined origin and rarity matter to you, choose natural; if you want the most size and grade for the budget, lab-grown is the common pick. We price both side by side for your design.

Can you match a proposal deadline?+

Tell us the date early — a deadline shapes the build route and stone sourcing at the quote and CAD stage, which is far safer than after casting has begun.
